The documents behind a PAC-CLAD submittal
PAC-CLAD publishes all of these. The links open PAC-CLAD’s own pages, so you always get the current version.
What the test numbers mean
These are the tests you’ll see in a PAC-CLAD spec. Which ones a panel has passed is listed on each panel page and in PAC-CLAD’s test reports.
| Test | What it checks |
|---|---|
| UL 580 Class 90 | Wind uplift resistance of the roof assembly. Class 90 is the top rating. |
| ASTM E1592 | Structural uplift performance of the panel and clip under uniform pressure. |
| ASTM E283 | Air leakage through the wall or roof system. |
| ASTM E331 | Water getting through the system under wind driven pressure. |
| ASTM E330 | Structural performance of wall panels under wind load. |
| FM Approvals | Factory Mutual approval for wind and fire, often required by commercial insurers. |
| Florida Product Approval and Miami-Dade | High wind approvals used across the coast and by many specifiers. |
PAC-CLAD warranties
Warranty terms change, and the weather tightness warranty is set up project by project. Read the current terms on PAC-CLAD’s site before you bid.
Finish warranty
PAC-CLAD’s 70% PVDF finish carries a non-prorated warranty against fading, chalking and film failure within the limits PAC-CLAD sets. On steel and aluminum that’s 35 years, except Cardinal Red and Award Blue, which carry shorter coverage.
Weather tightness warranty
A project specific warranty on qualifying standing seam roofs. It calls for PAC-CLAD panels and flashings, PAC-CLAD HT underlayment or an approved equal, a PAC-CLAD approved installer, a project review before bid and inspections during the job.
Our flashing details guide walks through the details PAC-CLAD expects. Read PAC-CLAD’s warranty page.
Panels, details and tools
Each PAC-CLAD panel has its own page with specs and PAC-CLAD’s install videos. Start at the PAC-CLAD overview.
